Mozilla launch Solo AI designed for freelancers and 'solopreneurs'

Mozilla has introduced a new initiative dubbed Solo, which is an artificial intelligence (AI) website builder for freelancers and 'solopreneurs'.

The developer of the software has targeted the product for freelancers who lack the time or resources to create and build the website for their business instead, they should focus on delivering.

The creators of the Firefox browser have laid the standard for what can be done by solo: "Using AI to generate your site's content and source your images that solopreneurs are able to revise into their own unique voice and style, levels your playing field."

"Solo takes this a step further. It can scrape your existing business Yelp and/or another website (listing) to create an online presence that's totally authentic to you."

To access the new web builder, all that people who are interested in using it is visit Solo and provide some basic details regarding their project or business and you can even connect to your existing web presence. After that, Solo will use AI to design a new site for you, and all the steps, including personalization, being an hour.

Mozilla embraces open-source AI

The new initiative comes after Mozilla set out its intentions in the beginning of this year. It is now fully embracing open source AI, committing $30M to Mozilla.ai the start-up that is focused on creating an independent, reliable ecosystem.

Managed by manager Moex Draief "the vision for Mozilla.ai is to help users to create trustworthy AI products. We will build products and collaborate with those who share our vision of AI that is able to act as an agency with accountability, transparency and openness at its core."

"Mozilla.ai will be a place outside big tech and academia for like-minded founders, developers researchers, product managers, scientists and builders to connect."

With their challenger project as a possible alternative to large tech companies, Mozilla is aiming to become a reliable platform for AI and a platform which aims to take people along the journey with them and distinguish itself from the rest.

Its ability to have the capacity to keep up with the times and draw enough attention to its offerings remains to be examined.
